AFC Asian Cup 2007

We are so proud of IRAQ! You have shown us that courage and determination can overcome all challenge and sorrows in this world. IRAQ deserve to win the AFC Asian Cup 2007. Even though I'm still mourning with the loses of Japan and Korea (which I should mourns for my own country instead :-P), I still loves the ending of this tournament. Congrats IRAQ! You're the best! Keep up the strong spirit!

Malaysia: Don't give up! Work hard for the next AFC Asian Cup!

Lesson of the day: Difficulties makes us stronger!

1,000 Voices Mega Concert for Peace

July 15, 2007, 1,000 Voices Mega Concert for Peace & Charity, the first of its kind in Sabah featuring more than 1,000 choir singer being held at Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu. And more than 1,000 spectators come to witness the event including me and Iper. She brings her niece also.

With the sunset as the background, the concert together with its choir singers presents a beautiful picture.

Special guest artistes are The Ambassadors from Philippines.

And The Golden Angels from South Korea which I think their songs are more interesting than the other one…hehe!

Sabah’s Miss Unduk Ngadau for 2007, Jo-Anna Sue Henley Rampas, is also performing solo that nite. Her voice is superb man! Sound just like those Africans-Americans. One of her songs is ‘you raise me up’.

Halfway the concert, suddenly I feel my eyes so heavy! I’m getting sleepy! I have only one word to say….BORING! Christianity songs kind of like il-Divo is truly not for me. Now I can feel 2 invisible red horns growing on my head and a very long red tails from my sexy ass :-P

But still, I have enjoy the experience and the concert’s tickets are FOC some more.

Thanks to my generous colleagues who have contribute!

Thanks to Iper for being the great company that nite!

…and last but not least, thanks to the beautiful sunset that evening that makes the concert feel less boring ;)

4th self defense class

In our 4th self defense class, we learn how to protect ourselves if we are being attacked inside our car. This is so useful especially for ladies. We also learn on how to defend ourselves against knife. Preventing from us killing each other, we used birthday knife and a ‘samurai sword toy’ made from plastic in our practice.

This is our Sifu Tony and the 3 students behind him practicing some of the skills.

I’ve recorded on some of the skills that we had learned. Hopefully these videos will help us ladies become the next charlie angels…hiyakkkk!!! Watch out u guys. We’re going to outwit, out kick, out smash…all of you.

And the next apprentice of William Hung….she bang! she bang! oh baby! she move! she move!

I’m not sure whether my stomach is cramped from too much karate-taekwando-judo practice or too much laughing...hahahaha!

7th Sutera Harbour Sunset Charity Run

Last Saturday on 07.07.2007, I ran for the 7K Charity Run together with another 2 runner bugs, Alice and Unduk. This is my 2nd time on joining the event. Sutera Harbour Resort is always organizing the charity event every once a year, usually in July.

Before the run start, we do this silly warming up kinda like of aerobics. Unfortunately, in the middle of the warming up, the sound system having one of his bad moods. Everyone just like “booooooooo”, pity the girls who are doing the demo on the stage.

This is our starting line...but I wonder why it's written there 'FINISH' instead of 'START'. Hmm...We start running at 5.17 p.m. In order to qualified for the lucky draw, you must finished the 7km distance within 77 minutes.

Some of them running and some of them just walking…and one of them holding Nokia handphone, just in case the boyfriend call.

We arrived at our finishing line at 6.27 p.m. Less than 77 minutes! Not bad for us who are rarely run, unless to catch some hot liang chai!:-P Do you notice that all the numbers are in 7…deja-vu!
Near the Indocafe Booth, I saw Lim and his son, Aaren. Can you see that Aaren have this 90% Japanese looks and I can't stop myself from pinching his chubby cheeks. So cute!

Other runner bugs we meet after the run…Rustam, Ani & Nora (the 3 behinds).

Our KKIPC team from left…Alice, Chin Yit, Irene and the fittest among all! :-P Kak Isa & Lim (both not in the picture), nowhere to be seen.

Everyone is crossing their fingers for the lucky draw. I’m crossing my 20 fingers & toes for the 28 inches plasma tv! This is my second time being the charitable person, I suppose I have to win something even just a hamper. He!he! Actually my company is the one paying for my charity.

Presenting the YMCA dancers...

One of the artists for the nite is Velvet from AF4. Meletop! We quite shocked to see her as she’s not big anymore as before. After the event, the 3 of us went to Sing Kong, Beverly Hills to refill our energy after the long 7km run.
And I discover that if you want to savour the best 'kit chai pink' in KK', go to Sing Kong.

Even I came home, without winning anything, the memories of the event is priceless. But I still aim for the 28 inches plasma tv next year! See you guys on the 8thSutera Harbour Sunset Charity Run then.

Run for fun, health & charity….and of course for ‘the 28 inches plasma tv’. :)

self defense at very architecture house

Last nite was our 3rd self-defense class. We learns how to do elbow punch, side-kick, spin-kick, etc.

These two birds are sparring! Hmmm! Actually NO! They are posing in front of the camera! :-P And now...

They are....dancing! Self defense class or dancing class? Joget I think. If our sifu sees these, he will tortured us even more! Pengsan!

Our sifu is an architect named Sifu Tony! His house is very unique. Very architecture like him. Beyond description :)

His living room...

His kitchen...

His bathroom. Fuyohhh! to be continue...

happy weekends

Saturday – meets Iper, a friend that I have not seen since my graduation day 4 years ago. Had our lunch at Peppermint Asia City, which serving my most favourite steam chicken rice and crispy spring rolls…and one and only chilies that is totally different from the rest. Everyone must try once!

Gossiping, catching up old times, windows shopping, etc. End of the day, I decide to do some minor shopping and the result is…

Nucci handbag with 50% discount. My memory for the reunion with my old good friend. In fact, she chooses the handbag for me.

Sunday – watch Transformer with Unduk

My personal movie review for Transformer:

Superb! Exciting! Thrilling! Damn good man! So much better than Pirates of the Caribbean! I gave ***** 5 stars +++. Worth my every ringgit Malaysia. For those who madly in love with cars, machines, robotics, etc like me, please…please…please watch Transformer. You will not regret it. Bumblebee…you are my hero!

More than meet the eye…:D
